A cancer-free world is possible, could you imagine it? we do! and we work a lot on prevention, however this project is about women who already are fighting cancer, sometimes alone, so they could feel accompanied in their disease, to live the process with quality of life and reduce the risk of sequels, for which we'll provide personalized council, including psycho-emotional, oncological and nutritional assistance, along with specialized items that will help them both physically and emotionally
In Baja California, the oncological units of Mexicali and Tijuana receive more than 4000 women with cancer during the year, most with breast cancer. The women who suffer from it need in addition to medical treatment, support services and specialized supplies that allow them to improve their quality of life and self-esteem in order to carry out the disease in a more dignified and comfortable way.
When a woman has breast cancer she faces several duels that affect her self-image and self-esteem: hair loss, swelling in the arm (lymphedema), amputation of one or both breasts; In addition to the loss of health, which must be addressed specifically. Giving them turbans, breast prostheses, lymphedema sleeves and specialized advice strengthens their self-esteem and allows them to gradually accept their new body and reality with love and dignity.
