AIL is always looking to make quality health care and education easily accessible for people. To this end they have expanded their range of health clinics by opening new ones at 2 AIL Learning Centers. There are now 3 clinics based in centers. Students and their families as well as other local people are able to make use of the clinics. The health program outreach now includes 3 at centers, 2 at orphanages and 1 at a street children center. These are a vital health resource for all people including women, especially those who are pregnant and for young babies and children.

Here is a story from one patient: “I am the mother of twins, Rihan Shah and Rihana.  I live in Mir bacha Kot District. When my children were born, they were very weak they could not breathe normally and could not breast feed. I went to the AIL clinic and the doctor told me they were preterm and had low birth weight of 1.5 kg.  The doctor said, “Do not worry they have got a simple cold and because of their weakness they could not breastfeed”. He treated their cold and told me to bring them for a check up every week. He advised me to breastfeed and supplement with a little bottle milk.”

After three months the twins were normal because I completely followed the doctor’s advice. They now weigh 6kg each. We are very happy that there is very good clinic in the area which we can trust.”

Thank you for your support.
