It's a good thing this year has an extra day because we sure are busy! The year started with great progress on our bird blind at Southgate Coastal Reserve. Once complete, the bird blind will be a special place for bird watching, education and recreation for the community that respects and preserves the delicate Southgate ecosystem -- and it will be a great asset during BioBlitz 2020.
SEA has been connecting with species experts who will lead community groups and help identify wildlife during both East and West BioBlitz events. We are also in the process of growing our staff, which will be a big addition to our planning team. If you know of anyone who is interested in working for St. Croix Environmental Association, please share our job openings!
In addition to BioBlitz planning, we have a full calendar of upcoming events and more in the works for Spring and Summer.
Do you know someone who cares about the environment on St. Croix? Invite them to become a member of SEA or support BioBlitz 2020. We are set to have a year of full education and conservation of all things leaping, flying, swimming, and growing on St. Croix! Thank you for your generous support to help make this happen.
