Bits of Love's goal is to provide a safe and happy home for abused, homeless, and retired horses who might have perished without our intervention. Our loving and careful attention includes stalls with shavings, grooming, farrier care, vaccinations, medical treatment, high quality and special needs feed, and training to provide them a have long, healthy, and happy lives. We are also looking to put them to work supporting a new Equine Therapy operation. We need your help.
Bits of Love is currently caring for 14 horses that were either abandoned/surrendered by their owners or found abused and brought to our rescue. The cost of caring for these beautiful horses is high and we cannot do it alone. Feed, vet care, farrier costs, and hay costs are expensive. BOL is relocating to a ranch in September. Fencing, shelter, and transportation costs are just a few of the cost to establish a safe and functional home for these needy horses. We need your help!
Funding the support of the horses will go a long way for the Bits of Love Horse Rescue to provide care for these animals. Feed, vet care and volunteers to assist with day to day care enables us to focus on finding forever homes for our horses giving them a second chance. We will also begin establishing a Horse Therapy operation at the ranch to give back to those who are in need.
Providing a forever home for animals that have been neglected is one impact. Providing people with disabilities an animal to care for at our facility is another. Once we are able to move past the day to day funding of our current animals we can focus on setting a horse therapy operation for those in need.
