Dear Esteemed Donors,We are writing to provide an update on the "Blankets for Vulnerable Yemeni Families" project and to share our plans for the upcoming phase.Current Context and Funding ChallengesYemen continues to face a deeply challenging political and humanitarian landscape. The ongoing geopolitical tensions and their economic repercussions have severely exacerbated living conditions for the majority of Yemenis. This difficult environment has unfortunately complicated our fundraising efforts, and despite our best efforts, we were unable to secure the full funding required to launch the planned new phase of the project this year.
Phase I Achievements (December 2023)We are pleased to report on the successful execution of the initial phase of the project, made possible by your generous contributions through GlobalGiving. Funding Partner GlobalGiving Implementing Partner Youth For Homeland Org.Implementation Period December 15 – 20, 2023 Location Sana'a, Yemen Total Blankets Distributed100 blankets Beneficiary Distribution:Vulnerable Families: 80 blankets distributed to 20 families (Total beneficiaries: 120 individuals: 62 boys, 58 girls).Special Addition: 20 blankets were also provided to a Center for the Care of Unaccompanied Children.Target Selection Criteria:The poorest and most vulnerable families.Families severely impacted by ongoing conflict and environmental factors (e.g., floods).Delivery Method:Blankets were delivered directly, hand-in-hand, house-to-house, to ensure they reached the intended recipients promptly and securely.A Look Ahead: Request for Support (November 2025)We are actively working to raise the necessary funds to launch the next, crucial phase of this project.
