Dear Blue Oval Covid-Response Fund Donors,

We’re grateful to all of our donors for helping the Blue Oval COVID-19 Response Fund, in partnership with Ford Motor Company Fund, raise more than $141,000 for 47 organizations supporting communities around the world.

Together, we were able to make a difference in the fight against COVID-19. The Ford Fund’s matching campaign has now ended, but you can continue to contribute to the participating charitable projects directly.

Your generous support provided enough funding to support all of the following and more:

  • 15 economic development workshops and child protection resources for 30 children in Argentina.
  • 2,500 bars of soap and 1,700 kilograms of food to be distributed to organizations supporting vulnerable populations in Canada.
  • 141 families of visually challenged workers to be provided with emergency funds.
  • 64 hours of psychological support to parents and 9 laptops to be distributed to students in Italy.
  • 94 boxes of face masks and handwashing supplies for 940 people in Vietnam.
  • 846 meals for families in need in California.
  • More than 3 weeks of food for all guests at an emergency shelter in Detroit.
  • 20 museum artifacts digitized and 5 groups of seniors hosted for virtual tours at a historical society in Detroit.
  • Tech support for 7 live streamed youth music events in Detroit.
  • 10,620 nutritious meals for people experiencing hunger in the Houston area.

Thank you once again for your support.

About GlobalGiving’s Disaster Response

When a disaster strikes, recovery efforts led by people who live and work in affected communities are often overlooked and underfunded. GlobalGiving is changing this reality. Since 2004, we've been shifting decision-making power to crises-affected communities through trust-based grantmaking and support.

We make it easy, quick, and safe to support people on the ground who understand needs in their communities better than anyone else.

They were there long before the news cameras arrived, and they’ll be there long after the cameras leave. They know how to make their communities more resilient to future disasters, and they’re already hard at work. GlobalGiving puts donations and grants directly into their hands. Because the status quo—which gives the vast majority of funding to a few large organizations—doesn’t make sense.
