Hello Everyone,
After our successful capital construction, Picaflor House is operating with our well-built facilities. The school now has a total of 8 rooms in use. In terms of space, we have two successful classrooms, which can each accommodate large groups of students. There is also one main building, which houses an office, a small library, and a classroom for our kindergarten classes.
During our time for play and sport activities, the school utilizes our outdoor courtyard with a wooden playground, a swing, a badminton net, and two portable football goals. There is also space in the courtyard for the children to play sports and teach our physical education classes.
All our work would not be possible without eating a rich and healthy lunch. Thus, we have built a greenhouse on the property, where we grow fresh, healthy vegetables, fruit, and herbs. These are grown, cooked, and used to provide nutritious lunches to the students each and every day. Each day, two chefs prepare homemade, balanced traditional dishes for both the students and the teachers. All the dishes cooked are vegetarian and are accompanied with a cup of homemade brewed tea. Not only is the food delicious, but each portion allows the children, as well as the adults, to have enough energy to teach and study throughout the afternoon. We strive to provide a menu that supports healthy brain and body development. This way, students are growing into successful adults by both getting the nutrients they need and using that energy to grow in their educational journeys.
Due to the success of our lunch programme, we are contemplating adding onto our kitchen so the students can eat in a fully-furnished place, rather than in their classrooms. Overall, Picaflor House is a very well-organised educational project, which genuinely cares for the welfare of everyone involved. The altruism of donors is what makes it possible to carry out the important work of teaching these children life skills in order to make them self-sufficient and successful adults. We want to express how much gratitude we have for this generosity and know the future holds great possibilities for us here at Globalteer.
If you have any questions about our programs, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Best,
