The latest book published by AIL is titled "Leadership and Management" and written by Professor Sakena Yacoobi. She is known in Afghanistan as “the mother of education” because of her work in the field of teacher training and education for all ages from preschool to university.
This latest publication explores the discussion surrounding leadership and management in educational environments. It includes practical guides and useful experiences that can help managers and leaders improve their performance and the effectiveness of education. It is also hoped that this book will help executives and leaders to improve leadership and management methods in others through education.
Update on literacy: Meraj Academy reaches those girls unable to attend school with video lessons provided on TV Meraj with a daily, televised high school curriculum for grades 7-12. Literacy is also offered at Learning Centers in the areas of Herat and Kabul as well as more distant provinces.
