Próximamente estarán aprendiendo a realizar diseños propios.

During these last months, the entrepreneurial groups have continued to train through workshops focused on strengthening the self-management of each group, diversifying the product offer and equipping the spaces. Thanks to the support of people like you, entrepreneurial groups are constantly growing!

Hi lum Antsetic (Sand Women)

The group sold a batch of pots in December through Ixim alliances. On their own, the women sold candles to another community close to them and the candles that were not yet of the established quality were donated to the church in their community. This sale on their own was carried out with the investment of their previous profits, which is a great step.

They recently participated in a workshop on self-knowledge, assertive communication and conflict resolution, to increase their tools to strengthen their teamwork and family relationships.

Soon they will be learning how to make large-format pots with En.Concreto, the same company that has trained them since the beginning.

Yo tante' (Heart of wood)

The group sold a batch of chopping boards in December through Ixim partnerships. Recently, like Hi'lum Antsetic (Sand Women) entrepreneurship, they participated in a workshop on self-knowledge, assertive communication and conflict resolution to have more tools to strengthen their teamwork and family relationships.

Soon they will be learning to make their own designs.

Ajaw Chab (Lord of Honey)

The Ajaw Chab workshop has been completely conditioned for honey processing. They received another 10 hives and are taking care of them so that in April they can obtain a large honey harvest.

Savings Groups

Of the first generation of 6 groups that began the collective savings and loan exercise, 5 decided to continue in a second annual exercise. Between April and May they will be closing this valuable exercise.

One of them, San Jerónimo Tulijá, has already concluded and 81% of its participants (26 of 32 women) reached 70% or more of their savings goal. Some shared with us that with this they plan to buy a refrigerator or a washing machine, to be able to lighten their domestic work load. The third cycle of this group is about to begin, this time with even more members.
