Dear Supporter,
During the last three months of cold and windy weather with the help of our short term volunteers we've visited weekly the Csatószeg after school club and kept the spirit of the kids high.
This village is not too far from our city but is still remote enough to be cut off from the main roads. With only 1000 people living it, most of the kids, especially the ones of the Roma ethnicity are strongly disregarded. The club hosts 19 kids altogether and during our visits we are playing fun activities where they are learning essential social and life skills while also getting familiar with the English language.
At one occasion in October we've managed to collect around 200 peaces of clothing and shared them with the help of our volunteers. The kids were very happy to try them on and to take some home for their brothers and sisters.
During our visits it's clearly visible that the kids became more and more open are not afraid any more to interact with foreigners with the help of their moderate English skills.
These small steps can be very helpful to build trust with them and by keeping up our constant work we can involve more kids in the future and improve our impact.
All the best!
