Break Poverty Cycle of Roma Children in Romania

Greetings from the Care2Travel team!

This summer has been filled with joy and generosity at one of the after-school clubs we support. We've visited them multiple times the past few months and brought several big donations of clothes, shoes, and other accessories, so the children and their families received exactly what they needed for the season ahead.

What made it even more special was the way it all came together. Volunteers from near and far, local community members as well as international friends who joined us from other projects worked side by side to sort, pack, and distribute everything. There was a lot of trying on, laughing, and playing as the children picked out clothes that fit them best. The carers helped carefully, making sure that the distribution was fair and that every child, and their families too, could bring home many useful items.

Besides the practical help, the volunteers also shared pieces of their own cultures. Through little presentations, games, and stories, the children got a glimpse of different traditions and ways of life from around the world. This made these visits not just about clothes, but about learning, fun and connection.

The happiness on the children’s faces said it all. They left not only with new shoes or warm jackets, but also with the feeling that people truly care for them.

And of course, none of this could have happened without the kind-hearted donors and volunteers who continue to support our work. Your generosity makes a real difference in the everyday lives of these children and their families.
