Every year, the extreme cold weather and snowy storms in informal tented settlements, with the ongoing fast devaluation of the currency, hyperinflation, and the removal of the subsidies on fuel and diesel, Syrian and Palestinian refugees and vulnerable Lebanese families find themselves with scarce resources to stay warm.
With Break the ice project, our teams on the ground were able to deliver the relief assistance needed from food parcels, fuel, heaters, blanktes and winter clothing.
All the relief items ease the hardship of the beneficiaries warming their bodies and hearts!
Ahlam , a mother of 8, expressed that the situation becomes particularly challenging when her children inquire about food, highlighting the financial strain the family faces. The timely arrival of food parcel assistance has been a crucial relief for them. She expressed deep gratitude for the in-kind assistance, especially during the winter, recognizing its pivotal role in alleviating the family's financial struggles. This support has not only addressed their immediate food needs but has also allowed them to allocate resources to other essential aspects of life.
