We are excited to share some updates on the progress of our Breast Health Workshops in Ghana. Thanks to your generous support, we have made impactful strides in raising awareness and promoting early detection of breast cancer across communities in the Volta Region.
Key Highlights:
3 community workshops have been held so far, reaching over 250 women and girls with vital information on breast self-examinations and early warning signs of breast cancer.
We partnered with local nurses and health educators to facilitate the sessions and provide one-on-one counseling.
Free clinical breast screenings were offered during each workshop, with referrals made for further testing when necessary.
Educational materials in local languages were distributed to ensure the message reaches beyond our workshop venues.
These workshops are not just saving lives—they're changing mindsets. Community leaders and participants have shared how empowered they feel to take charge of their health and to spread awareness among their peers.
We’re currently planning our next round of workshops, aiming to expand to more rural areas where access to breast health education is limited.
Thank you for believing in our mission. Together, we’re creating a future where early detection becomes the norm, not the exception.
Warm regards,
The Adjah Cancer Support Ghana Team
