LING PROJECT – SECOND IMPACT REPORT - Building Future-Ready Learners Through STEM and Career-Connected Learning Pathway

We are pleased to share our second impact report as we continue our mission of empowering underserved learners and teachers through STEM education, digital learning, and career-connected opportunities.

Our implementation journey began with a strategic engagement with the Municipal Education Directorate to introduce the goals and vision of the project and seek their support. The overwhelming reception and commitment demonstrated by education stakeholders reaffirmed the importance and relevance of this intervention. Their willingness to champion the initiative has contributed significantly to the growing acceptance and adoption of our STEM learning model across participating schools.

At the heart of our intervention is a commitment to creating an inclusive, future-ready learning environment where learners are exposed to emerging career pathways while strengthening their understanding of curriculum-based concepts through hands-on experiences.

Key AchievementsTeacher Reach

  • 70 teachers engaged and trained on innovative STEM learning approaches, digital integration, and career-connected learning methodologies.

Learner Reach

  • 1,200 learners reached
  • 826 girls participated, reflecting our strong commitment to promoting girls' participation in STEM.
  • Learners were drawn from underserved and marginalized communities where access to practical STEM learning opportunities remains limited.

STEM and Career Learning Experiences

Participating learners engaged in practical and interactive STEM activities designed to connect classroom learning with real-world careers. Learning experiences included:

  • Aerodynamics and Flight Exploration
  • Electric Vehicle Design and Engineering
  • Drone Piloting Demonstrations
  • Bridge Engineering Challenges
  • Renewable Energy and Sustainability Labs
  • Drug Delivery and Biomedical Engineering Activities

Through these activities, learners developed critical thinking, creativity, teamwork, problem-solving, and innovation skills while gaining exposure to future career opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and related fields.

Emerging Outcomes

The intervention has already begun to generate encouraging outcomes:

  • Increased learner interest and participation in STEM activities.
  • Improved confidence among girls to engage in science and technology-related learning.
  • Enhanced teacher appreciation for hands-on and inquiry-based learning approaches.
  • Greater awareness among learners of emerging career pathways linked to STEM.
  • Strong stakeholder support and growing demand for STEM interventions across schools.

Looking Ahead

As we continue implementation, we remain committed to expanding access to quality STEM education, strengthening teacher capacity, and ensuring that learners—especially girls and those from marginalized communities—are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to thrive in the future world of work.

We extend our sincere appreciation to our education stakeholders, school leaders, teachers, learners, partners, and supporters whose collaboration continues to make this journey possible.

Impact at a Glance
