Due to extreme poverty, families in the Gaza strip live in dilapidated housing with poor living conditions where they lack the basic needs. Large numbers of the families live in houses whose ceiling is made of metal sheets or asbestos. Many families lack adequate health facilities that are unsuitable for human use and lack the minimum standards of public health, personal hygiene, privacy, and human dignity.
