BKHC would like to extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who has generously supported our project through donations. While our journey on GlobalGiving has started modestly, we have been diligently maximizing every resource available to us through determination and strategic efforts. Thanks to a local campaign, we received invaluable contributions from two businesses, including two water storage tanks. These tanks, combined with the funds raised through GlobalGiving, have allowed us to achieve significant milestones, including:

1. Replacing the beams and roof of the visitor center
2. Replacing the roof of the ranger station
3. Constructing a platform for the visitor center tank to provide sufficient pressure for flush toilets
4. Installing gutters on both buildings to enhance rainwater catchment
5. Adding plumbing systems to connect the gutters to the storage tanks

These improvements have successfully provided running water to both the visitor center and ranger station during the rainy season. However, as the dry season approaches, we recognize the need to expand our water system further. This includes installing a pump and piping from a nearby creek to ensure a sustainable water supply, as the storage tanks alone can only sustain 2-3 weeks without rain.

In addition to these critical upgrades, we have also made several other enhancements to the site’s amenities:
- Partitioning off the far-right section of the visitor center, where the foundation was deteriorating, to address structural concerns and ensure vistor safety
- Washing and repainting the building to improve its appearance and durability
- Rehabilitating the two on-site bathrooms, including new plumbing, toilets, and piping
- Fixing and enhancing the access stairs to the lookout point by adding steps and railings for visitor safety
- Installing new signage to improve navigation and visitor experience

These efforts have not only improved the functionality of our facilities but also ensured a safer and more welcoming environment for all who visit. We remain committed to our mission and are incredibly thankful for the support that makes these achievements possible. Together, we are creating a lasting impact.
