Dear Donor
When our field teams visit the shelter centers scattered along the outskirts of Souran in northern Syria, the scenes often look the same: white tents, dusty pathways, and faces tired from waiting.
But inside every tent lies a story of its own—
and Marwa’s story is one that stays with us.
Marwa… A little girl carrying the weight of loss
Marwa lives with her mother in one of the shelter centers that lack even the most basic necessities.
Since the day she lost her father, her entire world has changed.
She no longer knows the home where she was born.
She no longer hears the comforting voice of a father who used to hold her every evening.
All she knows now is a simple tent… and a mother doing everything she can to protect her from the cold and from the fear of what tomorrow may bring.
And despite her young age, Marwa carries questions no child should carry:
“Why isn’t my father coming back?”
“Are we going to stay here forever?”
Questions far bigger than her years… and heavier than her small heart.
The financial sponsorship… A support that goes far beyond aid
Thanks to your generous donations, our organization was able to provide a monthly financial sponsorship for Marwa, easing part of the immense burden on her family.
This sponsorship is not just financial support—it is:
Your support for Marwa is not simply assistance…
It is the rebuilding of a piece of her childhood that hardship tried to take away.
Why your sponsorship matters
Because Marwa is still so young, and she has many years ahead in which she will need safety, care, and protection.
Because her mother is struggling alone—facing displacement, poverty, and the loss of the family’s only provider.
Because every orphaned child deserves dignity… and your generosity makes that possible.
Thank You
Thank you to every hand that offered warmth,
To every heart that chose to see Marwa not as a number on a list, but as a child who deserves a chance at a better life.
Because of your kindness, Marwa regains a sense of safety, and her mother can face the days ahead with more strength and more hope.
