Dear Donor
Amid the rubble of homes destroyed by years of war, on the outskirts of Souran in northern Syria, lives Mrs. Samia with her elderly husband in a simple tent set up beside their demolished house. A tent that shields neither from cold nor heat, yet has become their only refuge after losing everything they once had.
Samia… a mother who lost everything except her patience
Throughout the years of war, Mrs. Samia lost two of her sons, leaving her alone with her disabled husband who now lies bedridden. With every loss she carried in her heart, she held on to the remaining strength she had so she could care for her husband and stay by his side.
But the greatest blow came when their home was hit during a fierce airstrike. The house that had sheltered the family for years vanished in an instant, leaving the couple homeless and vulnerable. After weeks of displacement and uncertainty, Samia returned to set up a small tent over the rubble of her home — hoping that the shattered remains still carried some of her sons' memories.
The food basket… more than aid, a lifeline for an exhausted household
As part of our relief missions in Souran, our team reached Mrs. Samia and provided her with a complete food basket, containing essential food supplies that will sustain them for an entire month.
This food basket was not just nutritional support — it was:
Why your support matters
Because Mrs. Samia and her husband represent a large segment of exhausted families who lost their children, their homes, and their stability. Because standing with the elderly and those with chronic illnesses is a humanitarian duty only your generosity can fulfill. And because these food baskets restore dignity and security to families who wake up every day facing the fear of hunger.
Thank you
Your generosity reaches places where nothing remains but pain and memories. Thanks to you, Mrs. Samia now lives with more dignity, able to provide her husband with the food he needs without fearing hunger or deprivation.
Thank you to everyone who chooses to be a pillar of support for the vulnerable… and thank you for keeping humanity alive in homes that have lost everything.
