Dear Donor
During times of war and natural disasters, women and children are among the most vulnerable groups, facing heightened risks such as displacement, food insecurity, lack of healthcare, and exposure to violence and exploitation. In the absence or collapse of basic services, civil society organizations play a vital role as a first line of defense in protecting these groups and preserving their dignity.
Effective and timely humanitarian intervention goes beyond emergency aid; it includes creating safe environments, supporting livelihoods, providing psychosocial support, and raising awareness about the risks of abuse and exploitation. Such interventions help reduce the long-term impact of crises on women and children.
At Amal Al Umma Organization, the protection of women and children is at the core of our humanitarian work in Syria and the Gaza Strip. Our field interventions prioritize the most vulnerable families and deliver assistance that upholds human dignity while adhering to principles of protection, neutrality, and transparency. Our efforts include providing food assistance, clean drinking water, winter support, and emergency relief, with special attention to the specific needs of women and children.
We are also committed to applying safeguarding and protection from sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA) principles across all our activities and working closely with local communities to ensure aid is delivered safely, fairly, and without harm—especially in conflict- and disaster-affected areas.
Your generous support enables us to continue this critical humanitarian role and gives women and children hope and protection amid immense suffering. Together, we can mitigate the devastating effects of wars and natural disasters and stand in solidarity with those most in need.
Thank you for being partners in protecting lives and human dignity, and for standing with Amal Al Umma Organization in its humanitarian mission in Syria and Gaza.
