Syria: Responding Where Hunger and Cold Go Hand in Hand

In northern Syria, thousands of families live in camps with severe food insecurity and limited access to basic necessities. Any emergency—harsh winter conditions, sudden displacement, or loss of income—immediately results in empty tables.

Our rapid interventions have included:

• Providing food parcels and essential food supplies to families facing food insecurity
• Emergency cash assistance enabling households to purchase food according to their needs
• Distribution of heating materials and firewood during extreme cold
