In displacement settings, the impact of financial assistance is often best understood through the small but meaningful changes it creates. In Kafra Camp, northern Syria, Samar lives with her mother, who bears full responsibility for providing under extremely limited circumstances.
Through your support on GlobalGiving, we delivered a dedicated financial sponsorship to Samar. This assistance allowed her mother to prioritize urgent household needs—purchasing food supplies, securing basic clothing, and covering small but essential daily expenses that had previously been out of reach.
What stood out during this intervention was not only the material benefit, but the shift in emotional burden. For a brief period, the constant pressure of “what comes next” was eased, giving the family space to breathe and reorganize their priorities.
