In Kafra Camp in northern Syria, Sameh lives as an orphan with his mother and sister Fatima, in conditions where daily survival is uncertain and resources are extremely limited. Without a father to provide for the family, the responsibility falls entirely on the mother, who struggles to meet even their most basic needs.
Through your generous support on GlobalGiving, we delivered a financial sponsorship dedicated to Sameh. This assistance allowed the family to cover urgent expenses, including food, basic clothing, and essential household needs that had long been beyond their reach.
What made this support truly impactful was not only the material relief, but the restoration of dignity it brought. Sameh’s mother was able, even if briefly, to provide for her children without fear or hesitation—something every parent deserves, yet remains out of reach for many in displacement.
