Dear Valued Donors
In Kafra Camp in northern Syria, this image captures a harsh reality faced by thousands of displaced families, where roads turn into pools of mud with every rainfall, and worn-out tents become temporary shelters that have lasted far too long.
The image shows several children standing along a muddy path—some trying to play despite the conditions, others watching in silence. These scenes reflect a painful aspect of childhood in the camps, where children grow up in environments lacking even the most basic standards of safety and health. Stagnant water, the absence of proper infrastructure, and inadequate shelter all contribute to worsening the suffering of residents, especially during the winter season.
Despite these difficult conditions, traces of innocence remain visible on the children’s faces—a natural attempt to adapt to a reality they did not choose. Yet behind these small smiles lie immense needs, ranging from food and clean water to proper shelter and psychosocial support.
This image serves as a clear reminder that the need is still ongoing, and that thousands of families in northern Syrian camps require urgent and sustained assistance. Your donations directly contribute to improving these conditions by providing shelter, drainage solutions, and essential aid that preserves human dignity.
With your support, we can transform these muddy paths into the beginning of a road toward a safer and more dignified life. Thank you for standing with them.
