At a home in Kafr Camp in northern Syria, a child and his family were waiting for something simple but essential: bread.
The AMAL ALUMMA ORGANIZATION team reached the family and provided them with bread as part of our ongoing efforts to support displaced and vulnerable families and help meet their basic food needs.
These photos capture a moment of humanitarian action in the field—a moment that needs very few words. The child’s smile says so much about the value of assistance when it reaches those who truly need it.
Families living in the camps face daily challenges in securing food and other basic necessities. That is why we continue working to reach as many families as possible, because providing bread means easing part of a family’s hardship and helping ensure that children have access to a basic meal.
With the support of our donors, we can turn donations into bread that reaches the tables of families in need.
