Severe water scarcity continues to threaten the health and well-being of displaced families across northern Syria. Without functional water networks, children are forced to walk long distances under harsh weather conditions just to carry small containers of unverified water back to their tents.
To eliminate this suffering, BESME INSANI carried out a vital water tanker distribution campaign. Clean, safe drinking water was trucked directly into camps and distributed to vulnerable households, ensuring that elderly individuals and young children receive clean water right at their doorstep.
This timely support eliminated the health hazards associated with polluted water sources, drastically reducing sickness among young children. It also spared mothers and young girls the exhausting ordeal of fetching water daily, giving families time to focus on rebuilding their fragile lives.
