BRINGING EID HOME was designed to support vulnerable families during Dhul Hijjah and Eid al-Adha, particularly orphan families, female-headed households, displaced families, and households without a stable breadwinner. The project responded to a challenging humanitarian context in which 2.99 million people in Lebanon were estimated to need assistance in 2026, while around 1.24 million people faced acute food insecurity at Crisis level or worse between April and August 2026. The intervention was aligned with SDGs 1, 2, and 10, addressing poverty, hunger, well-being, and inequality. Planned support included:Hot meals, food Parcels, Eid Clothing for vulnerable children, helping families address immediate needs and reduce seasonal financial pressure.
Although the campaign did not reach the intended funding scale, its objectives remain relevant to the continuing needs of vulnerable families in Lebanon. Ghirass Society will apply the lessons learned to future seasonal interventions and continue supporting vulnerable households through food assistance, orphan care, education, and family empowerment programs aligned with SDGs 1, 2, 3, 5, and 10. Future seasonal campaigns will also place greater emphasis on early preparation and donor engagement to maximize impact before key occasions such as Eid.
