75 men empowered with vasectomies in 2024

Vasectomy Brigade 2024

In 2024, we made bold strides in reshaping what reproductive healthcare looks like in rural Colombia—by bringing vasectomy access directly to the men who need it most.

Thanks to your support, we provided 75 vasectomies to rural men this year, offering a safe, permanent, and voluntary form of contraception that empowers men to take an active role in family planning. These procedures were part of a broader effort that reached over 2,700 families with reproductive healthcare services, education, and access to contraceptive options.

In many rural communities, men face cultural taboos, misinformation, and geographic isolation when it comes to reproductive health. Our team has worked to change that—providing not just the procedure itself, but also education and respectful, stigma-free conversations that help shift attitudes and create lasting change.

Each vasectomy performed is more than just a medical service—it’s a statement of shared responsibility, of families planning their futures together, and of men standing up as allies for gender equality and sustainable communities.

But this progress is at risk.

With global funding for reproductive health shrinking, we need your help more than ever to keep this program going. Your donations make it possible to continue reaching remote areas with trusted healthcare, trained providers, and mobile services that would otherwise be out of reach.

Reproductive healthcare is a human right—for women and for men. Let’s keep building a future where every individual can access the care they need to make empowered choices about their bodies and their lives.

Thank you for being part of this movement.

With appreciation,
The Women for Conservation Team
