For the last couple of weeks of the summer, we tookover the Food Bus, run by our sister charity Be Enriched, and offered activities, and free food, for families in Lambeth.
Every weekday we welcomed parents/guardians on board the bus, and let their children enjoy a whole host of activities, including:
Everyone was offered a free lunch, and across the two weeks we served up 135 meals. These were appreciated by everyone, especially those who would normally have free meals when at school.
Now September is here we are looking ahead to what comes next for BPK, including a brand new Community Shop and Cafe. We will be fundraising for the works needed to complete this work, and between 12 and 16 September, any donation given on our GlobalGiving page (up to £40) will be matched with an extra 50%. If you are able to spare a donation to help with our efforts to show that sharing tastes better, we would be very grateful.
