We are really looking forward to throwing open the new doors of our Community Shop and Cafe. Well, that's as soon as we can replace the old doors!
We continue to work with the team helping us to transform the very dull, concrete box on Lambeth Walk. The next step will be to purchase new doors, and then get ready to run the project which will prevent our friends and neighbours from being affected by poverty and isolation.
We cannot wait to open a warm space that will welcome the community in 2024. We know the need for access to low-cost food, and the chance to sit with others over a hot drink is much needed, especially as the Cost of Living challenges continue.
We look forward to next year when we can run Christmas events, and deck the halls, just like Brixton used to!
