Strengthening Education in rural communities

Strengthening the Sustainability of Community Libraries
As the Community Libraries Project continues to develop, we are placing greater emphasis on sustainability and community ownership. Our goal is to ensure that the libraries remain active and beneficial learning centers long after the initial project support ends.
Local volunteers are taking increasing responsibility for daily library operations, including organizing books, maintaining attendance records, coordinating reading activities, and supporting children during study sessions. Community leaders and parents are also participating in discussions about maintaining the facilities and protecting the educational resources.
We are encouraging communities to develop simple local plans for continued library support, including volunteer participation, regular maintenance, and community engagement. This approach helps ensure that the libraries remain accessible and useful to future generations.
The growing sense of ownership is one of the most encouraging achievements of the project. Communities are recognizing that the libraries belong to everyone and that their continued success depends on collective responsibility.
We sincerely thank our donors and partners for investing in this initiative. Your support is helping establish sustainable educational resources that can continue empowering rural children and youth for many years to come.

Supporting Children Through Community Reading Activities
Our community libraries continue to provide valuable opportunities for children to strengthen their reading and learning skills. This reporting period focused on organizing regular reading sessions, storytelling, group discussions, and peer-learning activities.
Children are increasingly becoming active participants rather than simply library visitors. They are encouraged to select books according to their interests, read independently, and share what they have learned with their peers. These activities are helping create greater confidence and enthusiasm around reading.
Community volunteers have played an important role in ensuring that activities remain engaging and inclusive. They support children who experience difficulties with reading while encouraging stronger readers to assist their peers.
Parents have also become more involved by encouraging children to visit the libraries and continue reading at home. Teachers are supporting the initiative by recommending educational materials that complement classroom lessons.
Through these activities, the libraries are becoming important community learning centers rather than simply places where books are stored. We appreciate every donor whose contribution is helping us provide children with resources, encouragement, and opportunities to develop lifelong learning habits.

Expanding Community Learning Opportunities
We are continuing to strengthen the Community Libraries Project by ensuring that children and youth have consistent access to quality learning resources. The libraries are providing opportunities for children to read, study, conduct research, and participate in educational activities outside regular school hours.
During this reporting period, community volunteers continued organizing reading sessions and supporting children who need additional help with literacy and homework. Younger children have particularly benefited from storytelling and guided reading activities, while older learners are using the libraries for independent study and research.
Parents and teachers continue to encourage children to make regular use of the facilities. The growing number of library users demonstrates the importance of bringing educational resources closer to rural communities.
The project is also strengthening community participation in education. Volunteers, parents, and local leaders are working together to maintain the facilities and encourage responsible use of the resources.
We are grateful to our donors for continuing to support this initiative. Your contributions are helping create accessible learning opportunities and safe educational spaces where rural children can develop the knowledge and skills they need for a brighter future.
