Integrated Agricultural Association (I.A.A) aims to help provide quality education to 700 pupils in Mogni-Kouffen community in Foumbot area who do not have access and support in education. This project will construct two classrooms, administrative office, teachers' toilet, two toilets for female and male children and construct a well with manual pump, to ensure a conducive learning environment for pupils and teachers of GBPS Mogni-Kouffen, in Foumbot, west region of Cameroon.
Government Bilingual Primary School Mogni-Kouffen has the total enrollment of 700 pupils with two trained Government teachers and 4 untrained PTA teachers. Children attend lessons in poorly built plank classrooms. The school lack water, classrooms, tables/chairs, toilets and an office, which are necessities for a conducive learning environment for pupils and their teachers. Children defecate in an open environment and cannot attend classes when its raining due to poor state of classrooms.
This project will construct two furnished classrooms and an office block for the school, 3 toilets, a well with manual pump, provide 1 Office table, 5 office chairs, 2 teacher tables/chairs, and 100 benches to enhance education and improve the quality of learning experience for 700 pupils and teachers, thereby bringing development and equality in the community with population of more than 1500 people.
The project will bring access to quality education by providing a conducive learning environment for 700+ pupils who otherwise have never had such support in the past. 700 children will be able to sit in classrooms even when its raining and during strong winds, school time lost in fetching dirty water in streams will be recovered when the well is constructed and installed in school, thus, improving academic performance and these are opportunities they did not have before.
