Build 10 classrooms for a school in India

June marked a fresh beginning as we welcomed our students back to school after a well-deserved two-month summer break. The joy was palpable—children from nearby villages returned with bright smiles and eager hearts, greeted warmly by our passionate teachers with handwritten notes and heartfelt handshakes. It was more than a welcome; it was a celebration of belonging.

Later in the month, we proudly hosted the Investiture Ceremony to introduce our newly elected student leaders. With heads held high and hearts full of purpose, these young changemakers pledged to lead with empathy, courage and responsibility. Their presence reminded us that leadership begins with service and vision.

House Spirit in Action: Kho Kho Tournament

Three electrifying days of strategy, teamwork, and unstoppable energy unfolded during our inter-house Kho Kho tournament. Ruby House emerged victorious after a thrilling face-off with Sapphire and Topaz—an inspiring showcase of sportsmanship and unity.

Strengthening Partnerships: Parent-Teacher Meeting

We also held a meaningful Parent-Teacher Meeting, where families and educators came together to share insights, align goals, and reaffirm our shared commitment to every child’s success. These conversations continue to be the cornerstone of holistic development.

Honouring Freedom: Independence Day Celebrations

August brought with it the spirit of patriotism as our students brought history to life through vibrant skits, energetic dances, and a powerful play that paid tribute to India’s journey of resilience and hope. It was a day of pride, reflection, and celebration.

 Each of these moments reflects our unwavering commitment to nurturing confident, compassionate, and capable young minds.

Activities in the last quarter:

 1. Republic Day

 In January we celebrated Republic Day activities included flag hoisting ceremony of our tricolour flag, they sang patriotic songs and danced, all while learning about their country's history and values. 

 2.  Dental Check-up & Oral Health Awareness Program

At Lighthouse Academy, our student’s health is a top priority! Our recent Dental Checkup & Oral Health Awareness Program helped students understand the importance of maintaining strong, healthy teeth.

Key Highlights:

• Personalized dental checkups for students across all grades
• One-on-one consultations with dental professionals
• Practical guidance on proper oral hygiene habits

 3. Workshop on Leadership

Lighthouse Academy recently hosted a “Leadership and Career Counselling Workshop” for students from Grades 8 to 10, guiding them toward a bright future.

The workshop focused on:

• Helping students make informed career choices
• Building confidence for future challenges

4. Science Exhibition

 Our talented students at LIA showcased their brilliance and creativity at the recent Science Exhibition. From cutting-edge experiments to intricate models, the event was a vibrant celebration of curiosity, innovation and hands-on learning.

Each display was a true testament to their hard work, skill and passion for exploring the wonders of science.
