This project will build 6 classrooms and install 25 double seater furniture for each of the classrooms providing a safe, conducive environment that allows students to learn, thrive, and access quality education in their only local secondary school in Maggogo, Uganda. This will support the learning of 300 rural students who are currently unable to access secondary education within the region due to lack of secondary school.
Masimbi High School in Kakiri Sub County- the only secondary school started to school rural students access secondary education struggles with overcrowding, no computer lab, and limited facilities to support the learning of 300 students. Teachers lack proper classrooms, and students from poor households have nowhere else to go. These gaps hinder learning, reduce literacy, and limit digital skills, leaving children without the tools to pursue higher education or future careers.
This project will construct 6 classrooms for 300 students and provide 25 double seater furniture for each of the 50 students per class. Classrooms will relieve overcrowding and upgraded infrastructure will improve teaching, enhance learning outcomes, and give children from poor households the opportunity to receive quality secondary education close to home.
Building classrooms will empower 300 students with better learning spaces as teachers can deliver lessons effectively, and children from rural, poor households gain consistent access to quality education. Over time, literacy will improve, career opportunities will expand, school dropout rates will reduce, and the Magoggo community will see lasting educational and economic growth.
