Dear friends, thanks to your generous support, we have enough funds to start construction of the clinic and finish the exterior walls and roof! We have been overwhelmed by how supportive and excited you all have been about this project.
This clinic building will serve as the new home for all of our projects in the Bocacosta, including our child nutrition programs and our rapidly growing women's health program. It will also serve as a community space, with meeting rooms for health sessions and other educational activities.
By providing a more comfortable, private working environment for our doctors and patients, we anticipate that great improvements can be made in the health of these communities.
The initial construction should be done in about two months, and we will keep you updated here. We will still need to continue raising funds toward the project goal in order to finish the inside of the structure, add furniture and equipment, etc. So please continue to pass information about the project along to friends and family who you think might be interested in donating.
