YOU DID IT ... NEW NURSERY EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES WISHLIST IS SORTED!
We recently wrote to all our supporters about the exciting scaling up of our new Daintree nursery at Cow Bay ... thanks to your generous support, we've achieved our goal!
We now have the funds to purchase the equipment and consumables to scale up the new nursery for the coming year.
It is because of visionary and generous supporters like you that our dream to build the Daintree’s most-productive nursery came into being and now, thanks to you, we’ll be able to proceed with the purchase of items such as plants, fertiliser, seed collecting equipment and benches for propagation. All of these items and supplies will help us scale up, as we aim to grow 75,000 in the first year of operation to facilitate our rainforest restoration efforts and supplying trees to partner organisations.
If we are going to help mitigate climate change by drawing down more carbon, then we need to plant more trees—it really is as simple as that. With your help, we are building the Daintree’s largest nursery that will ultimately produce 150,000 trees per year ... providing for the replanting of almost 20 hectares of rainforest habitat every year!
But whether we’re increasing the footprint of vital rainforest habitat or acting on the threat of Climate Change by increasing the amount of carbon drawn down from the atmosphere, it is needful, urgent, good action that resonates with just about everyone.

Check out the attached Nursery Progress Report by Ecological Advisor and Nursery Project Manager, Allen Sheather—Allen has been a friend to Rainforest Rescue since the late 1990’s, his knowledge is vital to the identification of vulnerable rainforest to protect and help with our Plant a Rainforest program.
Thank you, once again, for helping us scale up the nursery and create positive impact for generations to come, you are indeed a vital part to making all this possible.
For the rainforests!
