There is an incredible kind of magic that happens when a child moves from a drafty, echoing community hall into a classroom that was actually built for them.
For a long time, the students in our rural communities in Laos have been making do—learning in shared spaces where the acoustics are tough, the seating is makeshift, and the distractions are everywhere. But thanks to your incredible support, we’ve seen first-hand that "purpose-built" isn't just a construction term; it’s a game-changer for how kids learn.
When you walk into one of our newly finished schools, the atmosphere is completely different. The teachers can actually be heard, the children have desks that fit, and there’s a sense of pride that radiates from the walls. It’s quiet, it’s focused, and it’s a space where a child’s only job is to be a student. Seeing the look on their faces when they realize this building belongs to their community is a feeling we wish we could bottle up and send to every single one of you!
Because of the momentum you’ve helped us build, we aren't slowing down for a second. We are officially set to break ground on our next school in another rural community!
The maps are out, the plans are ready, and the village is waiting for us with open arms. We’ve learned so much from this last build, and we’re taking all that experience into this new project to make it the best one yet. It’s about more than just bricks and mortar; it’s about creating a permanent sanctuary for education in a place where it’s needed most.
Thank you for believing in these kids and for understanding that a proper roof over their heads is the first step toward a brighter future. We have the tools, we have the team, and thanks to you, we have the resources.
Let’s go!
With huge smiles and gratitude,
