Thank you for your donations to our playground project and your desire to make the world a better place! You certainly made our Cubu School in northern Uganda a better, more wonderful place for the 500 children attending school there this year! They now have a new playground instead of just grass and jump ropes for their recesses.
The playground was finished in mid-February just shortly before the school year started. Both teachers and students are very excited about this new addition to their school. A playground is a new invention in the District, and nearly the whole of northern Uganda," said Paska, Outreach Uganda's child sponsorship coordinator. "It will encourage many children to like school and will even draw the attention of parents to bring their children to school."
The playground contains over twenty individual pieces of equipment and was built to appeal to all ages from Nursery through our P-7 students. "It is a great help to the children, the school, and the community as a whole," said Martin, a parent of an Agwata student. "It will encourage children who did not otherwise want to come to school."
The playground has been built to last for many years. Please know that we too at Outreach Uganda are very grateful for your contributions which will enrich our community's children's lives for years to come.
