Build Big, Build Opportunities is an initiative of the Integral Attention axis for girls, adolescents, young people, women in human mobility and vulnerability, which seeks to guarantee access in adequate conditions to rights such as: health, medicines, decent housing, education, food, recreational spaces and psychological support for these populations. The project will accompany and support the development and quality of life of these populations, contributing to SDG 1,2,3,4 and 5.
The situation of forced displacement due to lack of work, persecution, poor access to rights, the internal political-social crisis in some Latin American countries has promoted the migration of individuals and families to migrant-receiving countries. Ecuador has a high number of internal and international migrants and refugees in vulnerable situations, who have worsened their access to basic rights due to COVID-19, directly affecting children, adolescents and women.
This project, through the implementation of integral mechanisms of accompaniment and support, will provide the opportunity for children, adolescents, youth and women in vulnerable human mobility to change their lives and develop new capacities to access their priority rights, improving their quality of life.
Provide them with an opportunity to develop autonomy in the face of the situations of vulnerability they are living in, giving them an opportunity to have equal access to rights such as: health, medicine, housing, education and food.
