The Agwata school library continues to experience heavy use by students, teachers, our girls' group as well as parents meeting at the school. Our library is a bundle of resources that no other school in the area has.
The library has over 70 chairs which can accommodate our larger classes, most of which have 50 or more students. Outside of school hours, the chairs are available for parent meetings and community meetings which might take place outdoors in good weather.
When our U.S. volunteers are on site, it gives them a place to conduct their teaching and training activities as well as have special meetings with sponsored students' parents, the girls group and the school PTA and management committee.
The attached photos show some of the many meetings and trainings that occur in the library every week!
We thank you so much for your donations to the library project which built the library. In addition, your donations provide extra funding to make technology equipment and textbooks available for all to use!
We are still hoping for the remaining project funds to fulfill the school's textbook needs as well as provide the last funding for the technology part of the project.
Thanks again for all your support!
