This project will build 3 furnished sanitary facilities for 3 selected primary schools in kilombero, Tanzania and save 2000 pupils from sanitary related diseases such as diarrhea, urinary transmission infection and cholera. In addition to the construction of sanitary facilities, the pupils from these schools will get knowledge on personal hygiene and safe extra disposal to maintain healthy environment.
Insufficient and poor constructed latrines with no functioning water supply system, hand washing facilities, and a changing room for girls during menstrual period are some of the challenges which are faced by 2000 pupils of Uhuru ,miwangani and idete primary schools in kilombero ,Tanzania. As a result Diseases such as Cholera ,Urinary tract infection ,Vomiting ,Diarrhea mostly affects the school children .In order to solve the challenges improved sanitary facilities is needed.
With your donations kilombero organisation for community development (KOCD) proposes to construct an improved Sanitary facilities which will comprise of a toilet that will have a unit for girls and boys ,water system , and a changing room for girls that will contain a cardboard with sanitary pads for each targeted school .In addition KOCD will train pupils ,teachers and school committee on personal hygiene and safe extra disposal to maintain a healthy environment .
The project will rescue 2000 primary school pupils out of sanitary related diseases and create a healthier environment for the children to learn hence flourish in education performance .
