On behalf of the African Impact Foundation, thank you for empowering 300 girls and community members in Livingstone! This community centre would not be possible without you and your impact will create a positive ripple effect for generations to come.
Both of our groups at Linda Community and Linda South Community that are transitioning into grade 6 have had their first lesson in the TGI Leadership program! It was a great success and the girls are eager to be young leaders. The community centre will be a safe and supportive place for lessons such as these to take place.
Our women's groups are also showing great enthusiasm, an admirable work ethic, and a passion for topics covered in their workshops! They have been busy practicing their sewing skills, learning about child development and at-home teaching methods, and teaching lessons on gender-based violence at Libuyu Community School. It's so great to see them feeling confident enough about what they learned to want to share that information with the community and their families!
Through multiple meetings with councils, lawyers, and ministries, our team on the ground has been working tirelessly and patiently to get one step closer to starting the build! After a successful meeting last week we are able to decide on exciting next steps.
Thank you for your trust and belief in us to make an impact, and your dedication to the girls and women in Livingstone!
