One of the past interns linked us to The Urban Think Tank design team. Since then, the foundation has been in touch and engaged with them. The Urban Think Tank design team has since shared two concept design ideas with us.
With these two designs, we are currently working on getting available materials within Livingstone and coming up with an estimated budget for phase 1.
Once the center is up and running, it will have different workshop spaces, such as Recreation & sports space, Learning & Development center, and a gardening and farm space.
The stakeholders are very excited to have such a facility in Livingstone as it will be the first of its kind. With this kind of structure, it will be able to keep the youth busy, and in return, drug abuse cases are likely to be reduced.
The centre will also house the girl Impact sessions and other clubs run by African Impact Foundation.
