This project will build a home for the Torres Cedillo Family in Ocuilan, Mexico. The five members of the family currently live in inhuman conditions. The couple has three children ages 1 through 12 and their dream is to provide a safe lasting home for their family. Their current house is made of out old wood, has no safe ceiling and they all live in one bedroom. The new home consists of three bedrooms, one bathroom and one common area.
In Mexico more than 50% of the population live in poverty. The housing problem is increasing annually. Families facing this problem live in inhumane conditions, they have no resources to build a proper house. Their homes are made of everything except proper construction materials and do not provide a safe environment for the children or standard hygiene conditions. This project will help the Torres Cedillo Family in Santa Cruz Tezontepec, Ocuilan, Mexico have a new home.
The new house has three bedrooms which solves two important problems; overcrowding and privacy for the different genders of the household. It will also have a complete bathroom, giving a healthier life style to all members. The construction materials of the houses are resistant to natural disasters, water filtrations and adapt to different climates. This new home will give the family an opportunity to focus on other important issues like education and health for all of the members.
Most of mexicans migrate to the united states searching for better income to provide a home for their family back in Mexico. This project will give Pedro an opportunity to stay, grow and help his family without going away. It will also give the three children new living standards which they will take with them when they have families of their own. Creating a more safe environment for future generations. This house will last at least four generations so it will provide the family with a heritage.
