On the 6th of July 2023, the foundation will be turning 35 years since it was established. Our target as the Foundation is to build 50 Dream Rooms across the 9 provinces in South Africa by 2024. We are pleased to advise that in December 2022 we were able to achieve a target of 35 Dream Rooms.
The design and construction of a Dream Room are unique, with different elements that create a unique atmosphere. As a result, Dream Rooms enhance the child's hospital experience by providing a safe environment where they can enjoy childhood during a lengthy stay, ensuring that they reach their developmental milestone. By providing educational resources such as storytelling books, electronic distractions, imaginary play, creative crafts, and educational games, we assist the child in learning.
Without the dedication and support of our donors, who share our vision, this would not have been possible. We are truly grateful for their generosity, which has enabled us to achieve our goals and make a difference in our community. We are inspired by their commitment to our cause and look forward to continuing our work together.
The Dream Room offers a safe haven where our dream children and their families can enjoy and spend quality time together.
