Determination Shines Through Raphael

By Deborah Johnstone | Project Leader

Since the beginning of the new year, Raphael continues to particate and learn more about the craft of carpentry, to pursue his dream of becoming a wood working artist. His attention to detail is improving and he is demonstating greater confidence in his techniques.

Raphael shares the wood working project area with many groups of students who come through to learn some basic carpentry skills. His easy going manner and quiet determination are always present while he works away on his projects.

Have Hammers has a dedeicated group of staff and volunteers who work with all students like Raphael, and it's remarkable to witness the progress each student makes. There is a lot of enthusiasm, dedication and professionalism that goes into helping these students, such as Raphael, succeed in their projects and their futures.
