The project proposes to improve kitchen gardening through bucket drip irrigation to support 30 most vulnerable women and 210 dependence to address inadequate nutritional intake. It also intends to improve and implement cereal businesses to support 30 women and 210 dependence. It will also initiate rotating savings and borrowings, locally known as "rounds", Primarily to address community challenges through the pulling of resources to support 120 women and 840 dependence
Over 800 Women in Suna West currently face different economic challenges as a result of the outbreak of Covid 19 which has drastically affect their small business and access to agricultural inputs is now challenge due lack of income. Health services have drastically reduced due to fear of the Covid 19. Women are already in for another crisis of malnutrition and poor turnover on businesses .This proposal takes a focused approach to address the key challenges to 210 Women and 1,470 dependence.
The project will buy cereals during harvesting season and sell at affordable prices during scarcity.The group also practice own cereal productions, whereby individuals can grow cereal. Businesses idea is to introduce a Revolving Loan Fund, through an inbuilt savings mobilization schemes. The project is targeting 150 Women who will be able to borrow and save to improve on their businesses. The project proposes to improve kitchen gardening through bucket drip irrigation to support 30 women.
The project will educate 150 women on entrepreneurship and support 30 women to start cereal business to enable them manage and improve their small scale business to create permanent source of income and improve their economic based. The project will also ensure there if Continuity of food to 30 women which will provide permanent food nutrition to their families
