Dear friends,
As you can see in the pictures, MECA was able to purchase play equipment and they are already in use! As we stated in our last report, we were able to buy the items we promised and deliver them to the Rachel Corrie Children's Center.
The children at the center are very happy at the new arrivals but there is still a long way to go- your ongoing support will allow us to continue our support and expand upon the toys, children's books and equipment we can deliver to the Center.
As a colleague at the Center told me by Skype recently, "This is not just about toys for kids. This is about the right for children to play and be in a safe space when sop many other things in their life are not safe. When they hear a plane, they get very afraid because they think it is going to bomb them."
