Dear donors,
Every year, thousands of Nigerian women die during childbirth due to lack of safe blood. During C-sections, many families cannot provide enough matching blood, leaving mothers at risk of fatal bleeding. This project will establish an emergency blood fund and storage system in hospitals, ensuring life-saving transfusions are available immediately during surgery. Initial support has been received, but additional funding is needed to cover blood collection, testing, storage, and transport to facilities.
With timely access to safe blood, doctors can act without delay, preventing avoidable deaths, reducing orphanhood, and strengthening families. Your support will save mothers’ lives and help hospitals build sustainable systems for future childbirth emergencies.
Warm regards,
