We need to renovate our school bus so that all visually impaired children in our school have safe transportation and guaranteed access to quality and specialized education to achieve their maximum development.
Moving from one place to another by public transportation is a challenge for people with visual impairment, especially for children who are still in the development stage of their autonomy and independence, and incurs high costs for families who have to transfer from their locality to the school. In addition, in order to learn to read and write it is necessary to transport the perkins machine (mechanical typewriter in braille system for blind people that has a weight of 7kilos).
Our school bus is available to students at three different times: in the morning, at the end of the school day and a third time at the end of the after-school workshops. Our school is supported by individual, corporate and event donations, and with your help we want to renovate our little truck that we acquired 17 years ago, which today has 374 003 kilometers.
With your contribution, we facilitate access to a more dignified and specialized education for visually impaired children.
