Project Report | Apr 28, 2025
Sewing workshop and production

By Gonzalo | Psychology coordinator

(English below)

----

At Fundación Multipolar, we continue to believe in work as a tool for transformation and autonomy. In this spirit, the sewing workshop remains a key space for training, inclusion, and income generation for women facing social and labor vulnerability.

Ongoing training

Throughout 2024, we have sustained the training workshop, which takes place every Friday for 4 hours. This space is led by a specialized instructor and has the active participation of three women who are learning sewing techniques, garment design, and clothing repair. Beyond technical training, this space fosters connection, self-esteem, and confidence in their own abilities.

Impactful production

At the same time, the productive workshop continues to create real job opportunities. During 2024, 10 new textile products were developed, which are now being marketed and generate income for the women who produce them. This growth reflects the team’s dedication and the real possibility of dignified work becoming a sustainable path to change.

Each product created carries a story of resilience and sends a clear message: it is possible to build a social economy that includes everyone.

Thank you for your contribution!
